If you have recently purchased a home or have been living in your home you may want to file for a homestead or an Over 65 exemption.  This can be done simply by using our online forms.  You will need a scanner since a copy of your driver’s license it required.  Other than that it is very simple and saves you a trip into the appraisal district.  Simply follow the directions.  For other exemptions you may qualify for see the Texas Comptroller Manual on Property Tax Exemptions under our “Information” tab.
